don't waste your time on a car wash. (to much effort for to little profit.)
candy and bake sales have worked very well, but remember to keep everything individuly wrapped, clean, and as fresh as possible.
I love raffles because - if you can get companies to donate good gifts - you org. will probably meet their goal.

car washes are fun and easy if you remember to bring all of your supplies:
1) rags %26amp; sponges
2) buckets
3) soap
4) drying towels - (if you decide to go that far.)
5) teenagers to help out! :)

get several groups together(businesses, high school teams, etc) and have a volleyball/softball tournament. The teams are charged so much per person, you provide T-shirts, food by getting local businesses to donate these items.

Contact someone who sells: Avon, Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Home %26amp; Garden, etc. All of them have fundraising project that they will help you with.
